Top 5 Global Gold Reserve Holders

Federal Reserve Bank of New York

The World Gold Council recently released its June statistics on global gold reserves and the U.S. has the largest stock pile of gold reserves based on their IMF data. If the statistics are accurate it is  a good thing considering the value of the dollar has declined significantly. There are 30,684 tons of gold reserves world wide and interestingly the International Monetary Fund is the third largest holder, perhaps in preparation of being a new global currency reserve?
