What The Occupy Wall Street Protests Are About

The Wall Street protests have began just after mid-September according to the Washington Post and new rallies are being organized in other cities such as Nashville according to TNReport. After police used pepper spray and arrested many protestors some of the media began covering the story, specifically stations such as the Public Broadcasting Station and Russian Television.

It should not be too difficult to figure out what all these people who seem to be working age adults are protesting about. Unemployment benefits are running out for some of the continually marginalized and underpaid work force, and those no-longer considered in the labor pool by the Bureau of Labor Statistics make employment statistics seem low.

When one generation finds itself catering to the wealth of another, they have a choice and a right to disagree with how it is done; it is the American way and in the First Amendment of the Constitution after all. Although, according to the UK Guardian, the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement was actually hatched in Canada by a group called Adbusters and plans as many as 147 demonstrations in October.
